Park Güell for Groups

Visiting Park Güell with a large party — a school trip, a corporate outing, a tour group, or an extended family — requires a different booking process than individual tickets. The park’s group system is designed to manage capacity, coordinate coach arrivals, and ensure that large parties enter smoothly without disrupting other visitors.

What Counts as a Group at Park Güell?

Park Güell defines a group as 8 to 30 people who make a joint reservation and enter on a single shared voucher. This is distinct from individual tickets — groups must use the dedicated group booking portal on the official Park Güell website and cannot use the standard individual ticket purchase process.

Families, regardless of size, are not considered groups under this definition. If you are travelling as a family of 8 or more, you must purchase individual tickets. There is no family discount and no group rate for informal family parties.

Organised professional groups — such as tour operators, travel agencies, and cultural services companies with a collaboration agreement in place — have additional booking options available through the park’s trade portal.

How to Book Group Tickets

Group reservations must be made through the official Park Güell website at parkguell.barcelona/en/planning-your-visit/organized-groups.

The process is as follows:

Step 1 — Register Create an account on the group booking portal. This is required before you can access the group reservation system.

Step 2 — Select your date and time slot Group reservations can be made up to 100 days in advance. Choose your preferred date and 30-minute entry window. Capacity is limited — popular dates and peak season slots fill quickly, so book as early as possible.

Step 3 — Pay the deposit To confirm your reservation, you must pay an initial deposit of 20% of the total ticket cost. This deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances. You may also choose to pay the full amount upfront.

Step 4 — Pay the balance The remaining 80% of the total cost must be paid no later than two days before your visit date. If the balance is not paid by this deadline, the reservation is automatically cancelled. No reactivation is possible and no refund is issued.

Step 5 — Receive your group voucher Once fully paid, you receive a single voucher for the entire group. This is presented at the access control point on arrival.

Group Booking Conditions

The following conditions apply to all group bookings at Park Güell. Read these carefully before confirming your reservation:

Arrival window Groups must arrive at the access control point within 30 minutes of their assigned entry time. If the group arrives after this window, entry will be refused and no refund will be issued.

Group size flexibility Changes to the number of people in the booking are accepted up to a maximum of 20% of the original booking size, subject to availability. Changes must be made at least two days before the visit.

Date and time changes Date and time changes are accepted up to two days before the visit, subject to availability. Changes are only possible if the booking is fully paid. Bookings with an outstanding balance cannot be changed.

Cancellations If you have paid only the initial 20% deposit, you may cancel up to two days before the visit date. The deposit will not be refunded. If the booking has been paid in full, cancellation is not possible — only a date or time change can be requested.

Non-transferable vouchers Group vouchers issued through the official booking system are non-transferable. They can only be used by the registered group and cannot be resold or passed to third parties.

Coach Parking for Groups

Park Güell has limited coach parking available near the Carretera del Carmel entrance. The car park has 25 spaces in total, of which 3 are reserved for visitors with reduced mobility. Parking is exclusively available to coaches carrying groups visiting the Monumental Zone. Coach parking allows a stay of up to 90 minutes. Given the limited capacity, it is strongly recommended to book parking at the same time as your group tickets, especially for visits between April and October.

Is There a Group Discount?

There is no general group discount on the standard adult admission price of €18. The group booking system at Park Güell is primarily a logistics and capacity management tool — it does not automatically reduce the per-person price.

However, specific categories of organised groups may be eligible for reduced rates. These include groups of students in organised educational visits with accompanying teaching staff, and organised groups of retired people with a guide. Both of these categories require a group size of 10–25 people and must be booked in advance with appropriate documentation.

Guided Tours for Groups

For groups who want expert commentary alongside their visit, official guided tours are available for groups of up to 25 people. Guided tours are conducted by licensed MUHBA guides in English, Spanish, Catalan, and French. The tour lasts approximately 50 minutes and covers all major architectural highlights of the Monumental Zone.

Tips for Group Visits

School Trips and Educational Groups

Park Güell runs a dedicated educational programme — “Park Güell and Schools” — for schools from EU countries. The programme offers guided visits to the Monumental Zone led by specialist guides appropriate for different age groups, or self-guided visits subject to meeting certain conditions. Workshop activities are available for primary and secondary school groups at €5–€9 per student depending on the workshop type. Educational group bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
